Cotton On Kids – New Season Kidswear and Kidsroom Collections

Cotton On Kids – New Season Kidswear and Kidsroom Collections

I don’t know about you, but when certain emails come through my inbox, my heart skips a beat (yeah, a little nerdy I know!). This week when Cotton On Kids shared a preview of their new season BOHO range, I instantly thought of my kids and how much they would love it. Cotton On Kids is one of those brands that are my favourite go to. Over recent years they have improved the durability of their clothing out of site. Wash after wash, there is no colour run, balling or fading. I have to give it to them. They are on a winner.

This season’s collection  features fashionable tran seasonal pieces with everyday essential that kids (and parents) will love. Little girls will love the flowy skirts with bright tassel drawstrings and floral-patterned kimonos, and the boys will go nuts for our fun printed tees and cool new pant styles including drop crotch trackies and cuff chinos. Honestly, I cannot wait to get Ella into some of these pieces….

What’s even better is they have also released their new Kidsroom Collection – Sweet Dreams & Outdoor Aventure!  The collection, which is 100 per cent cotton, includes fresh new items that are perfect for decking out your child’s entire bedroom – from quilt covers, pillow cases and cushions to some new accessories including wall art, heart-shaped lighting and woven floor rugs.

Kids will enjoy sweet dreams in liquorice-striped sheet sets, sorbet-coloured polka dot quilt covers and ice-cream-shaped cushions, while the adventurous will love both the safari and outer space-themed looks which feature rhinoceros-printed quilt covers, rocket ship cushions and starry night wall decals.

All styles are designed to be mixed and matched, with items from the new collection matching back with our existing products, so whether you are looking at a complete room re-vamp or some small upgrades; the new range caters for all budgets and needs. The new collection is available in a range of designs suitable for single, double and queen size beds, ensuring everyone in the house, including toddlers, teens and even the ‘big kids’, can have fun revamping their bedroom. Prices start at $14.95 for a piece of wall art through to $69.95 for a queen size quilt cover, making the new range an affordable option for growing families.

Here are some of my favourite pieces from their amazingly styled rooms… (click on each link to go straight to their web store)

Their style, their affordability and in recent years, their fantastic improvement in their durability has made it my go to place for all things kidswear, shoes and accessories. Ella’s Playful Oasis

Ella’s Playful Oasis

We’ve moved back in and we have finally sorted most of the rooms in our house. It’s one thing to get back into a renovated home, but it’s another to get the house looking and feeling as you want. On the day that we moved, I was lucky enough to have my sisters dedicate their time towards arranging and styling Ella’s room. Fit for a princess, she certainly is a lucky little girl, as she stepped into her dream room when we finally moved back in. Clearly loving pink, her new room is a mixture of old favourites and new additions. Inspired by many of the amazing rooms I’ve seen on Instagram, and in particular I loved the ideas and images from Belinda @ Petite Vintage Interiors, we arranged and rearranged her room to both look beautiful and be practical for a toddler to play, sleep and enjoy her days.

I’ve finally got the room sorted and have added the finishing touches and thought I’d share some of my favourite snaps with you. I have loved finding many of the products, particularly from local businesses and online sources…

This Alice in Wonderland Wing Chair was an old favourite from Ella’s Nursery. From Freedom, this oversized chair is a beautiful place to sit and read. The personalised pillow is from Wendy Pamela.

Her King Single Bed is from Adairs, and I love the classic powder coat white finish. I found it really difficult to source simple and elegant linen, without the fan fare of crazy designs. I ended up sourcing simple waffle covers from Spotlight and accessorised with beautiful cushions and throws from Country Road.

Another angle of the simple but classic linen and accessories. Love the hand made cloud pillow, created lovingly by my Mum.

These house shadow boxes are from Cotton On and are inspired by Petite Vintage and feature some of Ella’s favourite trinkets. Draped in a Felt Foxes hand made garland, they look gorgeous on her wall.

Another old favourite are the heart button canvases I made myself after Ella was born..

Nothing beats this beautiful Dolls’ House she got from Santa last Christmas…

IMG_5253

This Mirror Hook was a present from my dear friend Paris, the owner of Little Tinkers Homewares. The perfect place to hang her scarves and bags..

This ‘Love’ teatowel was framed in an Ikea picture frame. The icecream lamp is from Leo & Bella.

Probably my favourite…this insanely cool Freckle Rug. A large one at 200cm, it is the highlight of her room..

I just love this idea…cloud hangers holding gorgeous postcards from Eef Lillemor with teeny tiny pegs! The hangers are hard to come by at the moment, but I sourced mine from Lark Store and Big Dreams.

I simply can’t go past these Rasberry Apples from Little Tinkers. The most perfect way to store a little girl’s trinkets…

The messy and fun side of the room! Ella adores this play tent from Kmart!

And finally, a little girl’s room is not complete without beautiful dolls. These two were also given to her when she was born by my beautiful boss. The Ladedah Grace doll is her favourite.

I’ll be sharing more snaps from our renovated home in the coming weeks, once we get more rooms finalised. Thanks for your beautiful messages, I’m so proud of my hubby and the beautiful home he has made for us!

New finds for Ella’s new oasis

New finds for Ella’s new oasis

Last week I was super obsessed with super heroes. I blame it on the fact that Hudson’s Dad has gone a little ‘batty’ (excuse the pun) about having a boy. I shared some of my favourite finds from local businesses and talented Mums who have created gorgeous decor with a super hero twist.

This week, my darling princess Ella gets a look in. We are almost about to move back into our house, and Ella’s new room is actually Dan and my old one. A large space for a toddler, her room has beautiful bay windows, polished floors and high ceilings. I’m keeping some of her things from her old room (as shown in a post link below), but it couldn’t be a new room, without some new stuff! So I’ve scoured my Instagram feed from my favourite new shops, designers and talented parents to integrate some cute touches. I’ve been completely inspired by Belinda from Petite Vintage Interiors, and have sourced some great products at a fabulous price.

I’ve listed my favourite finds for Ella’s new oasis below…

Ella's room

  1. King Single White Iron Bed from Adairs Kids – POA. I also love, love the idea of a painted Bentwood Chair as a side table.
  2. Felt Ball Garland – I made my own using felt balls from Felt Foxes – Packets of 50 x 2cm balls are $15 each. I made a 4m garland using one packet. I also love these little house shadow boxes, and bought these from Cotton on Kids for $14.95 each. They are currently sold out, but are going to be restocked. I also love, love the pink Woodland doll, from Leo and Bella. Again they are sold out but are being re-stocked and are priced at $35.
  3. I have purchased the mint, pink and white child cloud hanger from Lime Tree Kids for $12.95 each. The grey is extremely hard to come by at the moment, sold out everywhere, but I got my hands on one from Hello Big Dreams for $10.95.
  4. One of my favourite purchases, this 200cm felt ball rug will be the highlight of Ella’s room. I did a post about it here. I purchased it from Silk Road Rugs, and at $650 it was a steal!
  5. This pink and red tartan cushion, along with the matching throw is from Country Road. It will sit adoringly on her big girl bed. Currently on sale for $29.95, and the throw at $79.95.
  6. Bed linen is always hard to come by, and if Ella had a single bed, it would be this Ashe Duvet set from Petite Vintage Interiors. Currently out of stock, it sells for $220. You can also see the gorgeous ice cream lamp in the house shadow box. I got this one from Leo and Bella for $29.99. Image from Petite Vintage Interiors.
  7. Always in need of a night light, this super cute toadstool is from Baby Donkie for a bargain $14.95.
  8. This image is from This Little Love – I loved the idea of painting the super cheap Frosta stool from Ikea and using it as a side table. Priced at $14.99, it is a no brainer. I also found these geometric letters on sale at Typo last week. Currently they have 4 for $10. And finally, the stackable crayons are not only practical, but look great too! These Playon crayons are available from Hello Big Dreams for $14.95.
  9. Finally, these amazing letter lights have just been released at an affordable $69 from the Little Letter Lights Co. Currently on pre-order, they are selling like hot cakes! I also adore the watermelon wall vase from Love Star for $69.

The new, along with the old will bring a new sense of love, wonder and awe to Ella’s room.  Ella’s old room was featured on Babyology last year, and it was such a beautiful space. See the feature here. Stay tuned for pics of how it all comes together, and see how her much loved items mix with new finds…
