Motherhood

You little Ripper Darrell Lea

June 25, 2018
Lollies. They get me every time. Whilst I’m not a big cake fan, and to be honest, my children are also not partial to a doughnut (weird I know), if you put a bowl of lollies on a table, any table in our house, they will be gone in seconds. The problem with lollies however, is that you can’t just stop at one. We all know about the terrible spell that lollies put on us, but it’s the sugar content that brings us undone. So when one of Australia’s favourite companies, Darrell Lea contacted me to see if I’d like to try their new ‘Ripper’ range which contains 25% less sugar…I literally nearly fell off my chair.
Darrell Lea Rippers
Darrell Lea is the first major Australian confectionery company to produce a reduced-sugar product, in response to consumer demand for healthier options.
Rippers contain all natural colours, flavours and has no preservatives. To top this off yes, with 25% less  Rippers are the ideal sweet treat without the guilt or worry.
Leanne Hall, clinical psychologist with qualifications in nutrition & personal training, said: “One of the challenges we face as parents involves guiding our kids to make healthy food choices versus allowing them to just be kids.  Leanne added: “The best thing we can teach our children is how to make healthier choices, and instead of avoiding them opt for the lollies with less sugar than others.Rippers come in three varieties with two fabulously fruity flavours in each pack:

– Blackcurrant & Green Apple
– Raspberry & Grape
– Orange & Lime
Each 250g bag is jam packed with metres of fun and mouthfuls of yum.
Rippers are exclusive to Woolworths nationwide, available from the
confectionery aisle priced at $4.00 RRP.
They are…delicious. Literally, delicious! There is more to Rippers than great taste – they’re fun too. Listen up kids big and small. You now have permission to play with your food as Rippers are designed to be gripped and ripped! Pull them apart into strands, bend them, twist them and make crazy shapes.
And THAT brings me to my next point.… To celebrate the launch of Rippers, Darrell Lea is running a national competition for six lolly lovers to visit their Sydney factory and become a taste-tester. That’s right! You could be taking your kids to the Darrell Lea factory in Sydney to literally have the best job in the world for a day!!! Man that is one comp that I wish I could win. Is it wrong that I want to win it for me????
