Don’t miss out on becoming a Darrell Lea taste tester!

July 10, 2018
Darrell Lea Rippers

Last week I shared the awesome news that Darrell Lea, our Aussie favourite,  has just released Rippers – a jelly confectionery product with 25% less sugar. Darrell Lea is the first major Australian confectionery company to produce a reduced-sugar product, in response to consumer demand for healthier options. Rippers contain all natural colours, flavours and has no preservatives. Top this off with 25% less sugar and Rippers is the ideal sweet treat without the guilt or worry. To celebrate the launch of Rippers, Darrell Lea is running a national competition for six lolly lovers to visit our Sydney factory and become a taste-tester.  A TASTE TESTER!

Darrell Lea

THE PRIZE
  • 6 taste testers will be chosen
  • Each get a trip to the Darrell Lea factory in Sydney (from their major capital city) with a parent / guardian and up to two friends
  • They will be taken on an ALL YOU CAN EAT tour of the factory
  • They will make their own Rocky Road bar and take home many, many samples
  • Be sent more samples twice throughout the year!

C’mon peeps, this is one of those comps that kids will want to enter, but lets face it, we all want to be THAT parent that accompanies then!

TO WIN

All you need to do is purchase a pack of Rippers and create a fun and crazy face using the product. Post an image to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #DLFACEON. The best one every two weeks wins! For more information head to their competition page here!

MORE ABOUT RIPPERS…

Leanne Hall, clinical psychologist with qualifications in nutrition & personal training, said:

  • “One of the challenges we face as parents involves guiding our kids to make healthy food choices versus allowing them to just be kids. “What if they could be kids AND indulge in a healthier treat at the same time? That’s a win for everyone!
  • “There is research to suggest that not allowing children to have treats has negative effects.
“Depriving children of foods because they are bad only makes them crave them more and it is also a risk factor for developing eating problems later in life.”

Leanne added: “The best thing we can teach our children is how to make healthier choices, instead of avoiding them opt for the lollies with less sugar than others. If your children are active, there is no reason they can’t enjoy treats as part of a balanced diet.

Darrell Lea Rippers

Rippers come in three varieties with two fabulously fruity flavours in each pack:
– Blackcurrant & Green Apple
– Raspberry & Grape
– Orange & Lime

We have become addicted to them in our house, which in hindsight is a good thing, given they are 25% less sugar!
