You’ll know that I’m a teacher, and a Mum. I’m passionate about exploring how technology can enhance student learning, so when I was asked to try the new ‘Leapfrog Ultimate Tablet’, I was very curious! The world of tablets can divide parents. Many are afraid to let their children get their hands on them, but they are also aware of the great learning benefits they can provide if used in the right way. In the month we’ve used the Leapfrog Ultimate Tablet, I would describe it as a stepping stone, or L plates for those who want to ensure that they have complete control over a device for their young child. My children have loved taking photos and videos, exploring the alphabet, counting, science activities, gardening videos, creating artworks and much more. The clever stylus (pen) develops accurate pencil grip, rather than using their finger to point at the screen. It’s also really robust and can whit stand a few bumps along the way!
