It’s Day 2! Today we are sharing one of my favourite ever small business stories. Inspiring little minds and providing opportunities for children to explore, learn and create. Leanne from My Creative Box has in the last two years created a product that has literally saved my life. A subscription service, (that can also be purchased as a gift, or a once off) is a box of carefully curated craft activities that is literally delivered to your door once a month. Inside you find 7/8 activities, individually packaged. Everything you need is included, and I mean everything. Need glue? It’s included. Scissors? Yep! Paint? sequins, pencils, paper? All there. No joke. It’s fool proof. It’s Mummy and Daddy proof.
Each month, the My Creative Box comes with a different theme or focus. Parents not longer need to dread art and craft time with their kids! Whilst we all know the benefits of creating and making, the effort in collecting materials, setting up and packing them often makes it all too hard. Leanne designs her products specifically tied to child developmental goals and requires very little set up and pack up time. Most of all, she includes everything you could ever need.
Myself….I’ve been a subscriber from the start. Ella is one of those kids who loves art and craft. Rather than having to run around at Kmart of $2 shops sourcing everything she needs, we now get a box once a month with everything she needs inside. What’s more is that it comes with beautiful instruction booklet with step by step instructions for each activity. She has even included images of each step, so that reading does not need be a factor. This means children can literally complete the activities on their own. The only problem I have ever had is trying to stop Ella from doing all of the activities in one go!
My Creative Box offer Pre-School and Toddler craft boxes, with activities suited to their development! Each month, the box arrives with a different theme! Mind you, Ella is almost finished Prep, and the Pre-School activity box is fantastic and still engaging for an early schooler!
