Toy Review: Scruff-a-Luv Pets

August 23, 2018

My children adore animals. Before we had children, we already had a child (sort of) in our dog Lloyd. One of the best things about having a pet, is teaching your children to care for them. Feeding, them, walking them. So when Moose Toys asked us to road test their new offering ‘Scruff-a-Luv Pets in conjunction with PetRescue Australia, we jumped at the chance!

Scruff-a-luv

The revolutionary new toy aims to teach children the importance of nurturing, rescuing and caring for animals. Beginning as a mysterious matted coloured ball, children must nurture their new Scruff-a-Luv by washing, towel drying, brushing and styling its fur to reveal an adorable cat, dog or bunny. Scruff-a-Luv owners also receive a grooming brush, hair clips, name tag, collar and adoption certificate for their new furry friend and will feel like pet owners, able to wash their furry companion over and over again. Moose Toys is sponsoring PetRescue Australia to help real-life rescue pets find a loving new home by making a series of donations, and by promoting the importance of creating a safe environment for pets. PetRescue Australia is a national animal welfare charity with a vision of a future where every pet is safe, respected and loved. The organisation offers a range of free and innovative programs and services to thousands of pet adopters and rescue organisations, including food donations, free flights to relocate rescue pets, and free tools to enable more direct-from-pound adoptions Australia-wide.

“We are extremely proud that Scruff-a-Luvs will teach children how to nurture and care for animals of all kinds, and bring further attention to the incredible work that PetRescue Australia does,” said Eva Daly, Global PR & Partnerships Manager at Moose Toys. Scruff-a-Luvs is available now in all major toy retailers and is recommended for children aged four and up. RRP: $30.00.

What I loved about it, is the fact that when they open the toy, it is rough and scruffy looking. In order to bring it to life, they have to wash it, dry it and give it tender loving care…..
